The Z-CNC series of computerized springmakers signaled a move away from mechanical machinery for the company, impressed by the machines' user-friendly computer systems."Setup time on a given job is cut from as much as half a day to as little as 10 minutes," claims Gary James foreman, noting that programs need only be called up from machine memory, without cams needing to be ground, as was the case with Economy's mechanical predecessors.
