Machine builder Henrich is establishing the use of high speed multimotor wire drawing machines to bring greater quality, efficiency and flexibility to the process. Based in Herborn, the company is one of Germany's leading wire drawing OEMs of machines for drawing copper, copper alloy and special metals which require a very high quality finish. The drawn wire is used in end products such as spectacle frames, high frequency conductors, thermocouples and heated rear windscreens for cars. One of the main customer criteria for selecting a machine of this type is the ability to run at high production speeds, up to 25 m/s and produce good surface quality. Very few machines can achieve this with a finished wire diameter of less than 1 mm.
