Today officially known as Glasgow Prestwick Airport (not least because of its use by Ryanair), in the Sixties Prestwick (IATA: PIK/ICAO: EGPK) boasted it was 'Britain's only fog-free airport' and was a favored fuel stop for trans-Atlantic flights. In fact in the early days it was the only Scottish airport allowed to have scheduled service to Canada and the USA. This selection of airliners at PIK is drawn from the collection of Bob O'Brien.
