Cimatron Technologies Inc., Novi, Ml, provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for the toolmaking and manufacturing industries, has introduced DieDesign, a new application for the design of progressive dies. The DieDesign application is part of the CimatronE Version 8 release. The new application is packed with die-specific functions, according to company officials, so that designers no longer need to spend time attempting to construct the unique features of a die using general-purpose CAD systems. The DieDesign application is tightly integrated with other parts of the CimatronE CAD/CAM product suite, streamlining the entire product cycle from quoting to manufacturing and the delivery of a complete tool.
