The question: Why should you go to a high-priced flattener or leveler in your press feed? Shape control is the ugly sister in stamping systems. It doesn't get the attention it should. The press gets all the glory. Too often, money saved by installing the wrong shape-control equipment is spent on tinkering with dies and die setup later on. Entirely different pieces of shape-control equipment have entirely different capabilities. What you should have depends on your shape problem, not the price of the machine.
