DP Technology, Camarillo, CA, has released its ESPRIT/W version 5.0, the latest evolution in its CAM product line for wire-EDM machine-tool programming. The system features enhanced knowledge-based machining tools for Charmilles, Charmilles Fanuc, Mitsubishi and Agie wire-EDM machines.ESPRIT's machining for Mitsubishi wire-EDM machines has been upgraded to include a comprehensive technology database. This KBM tool provides the factory-recommended cutting technology for all Mitsubishi machines. The use of the factory machining technology such as e-pack power setting offsets and feedrates ensures the machine is running at full potential, resulting in maximized cutting rates and workpiece quality while minimizing machining time.
