Henderson plant out of operation Hydro's remelt and recycling plant in Henderson, Kentucky, suffered an explosion in a melting furnace on 23 January. No personnel were injured in the explosion, but the furnace was damaged, making the plant temporarily unable to produce casthouse products. With a large production network in the US, Hydro is currently working to secure metal from other sources so that the impact on customers will be as small as possible.
