AbstractA two‐phase program was developed to foster a more efficient community response to the problem of spouse abuse. The first phase described resulted in a booklet to assist human services workers in providing pertinent information to victims of spouse abuse. The second phase consisted of separate training programs for four occupational categories: police officers, attorneys and legislators, counselors and clergy, and medical personnel.
