摘要

An addition of phosphate to the acid phase, or treatment of barley chloroplasts with butylated hydroxytoluene increases the ATP yield by more than 100due to the acid-base transition. Apparently this is because antioxidant treatment favours the preferential access of phosphate from the alkaline phase to the active centre of the reaction.
