The new managers want to better under-stand the day - to - day primary duties of the sensor applications specialist in a manufacturing environment.Basically, the purpose of dedicating a full-time person to the sensor program is research and development. The position is dedicated principally to the analysis of targets (tooling, parts, strips, assembly fixture components, etc.) and the precise selection and testing of electronic sensors to detect those targets. These comprise the core of the sensor applications specialist's duties.
