AbstractAssuming polymer fluids obey the CEF equation, equations concerning die swell from capillary die and slit die were derived. The die swell of polymer increased with increasing shear rate and recoverable shear. Our theoretical predictions conformed well with the experimental data of die swell for PP and PS.
