The Internet has suffered enough bad press recently; it hardly seems fair to add "fosters terrorism" to its list of failures. Yet alongside its ability to link people together in times of crisis, another truth about the Internet emerged from the rubble of die World Trade Center: It has helped make this modern and most vicious form of terrorism possible. "No Internet, no bin Laden" might be overstating it, but not by much.
