The effect of reduction in temperature of perfusion from 37 to 27 °C and 20 °C on the ability of the adrenoceptor antagonists indoramin and labetalol to block pressor responses to noradrenaline in the perfused mesenteric vascular bed of the rat was examined. The results suggest that in the rat mesenteric bed, antagonist potency of both agents is increased at low temperature
