abstract_textpIn a retrospective study of 15 cases of "discoid lupus, macroscopic and microscopic lesion scores highlight two distinct groups of dogs from a clinical Point of view. A significant difference is to be found between the two groups for the CD3+ interface infiltrate (p0.01) and pigmentari incontinence (p0.05). Compared to human dermatosis, the term of "discoid lupus" should no longer be applied to dogs. There are probably cases of cutaneous lupus in dogs, but a certain number of cases that were formerly classified as such, within the scope of what we know today, are to be linked to other entities. Moreover, in order to diagnose cutaneous lupus in dogs, the requisite is the presence of a lymphocytic interface dermatitis associated with primary histological lesions (hydropic degeneration of basal cells, lymphoplasmacytic lichenoid infiltrate and pigmentari incontinence)./p/abstract_text
