abstract_textpDental traumata can cause a hematoma, mobility, a fracture or an extraction. It is important to be able to recognise wear of the corona dentis and hypoplasia of the enamel. In the event of fracture, only crown fractures are treated. Should the fracture not affect the dental pulp, it is treated by a glass ionomer or a composite material filling. If the dental pulp has been impaired, it must be protected by a layer of calcium hydroxide. If the dental pulp is more seriously impaired, a pulpotomy is carried on young teeth, and a pulpectomy on teeth with necrotic pulp or on old teeth. The pulp in the teeth of a very old dog has ceased to exist, and nothing can be done./p/abstract_text
