AbstractA new algorithm is proposed to solve the volume integral equation whereby the scatterer is first divided intoNsubscatterers. Smaller problems are nested within larger problems using the Huygens equivalence principle. The resultant algorithm has reduced computational complexity whose CPU time is proportional to N1.5. © 1993 John Wileysons, Inc
