Is human health affected by low-frequency low-intensity environmental magnetic fields? There is much diehard evidence that it is. For this reason irregular, spectrally complex ULF (010 Hz) magnetic fields have recently come under scrutiny, typical of natural geomagnetic perturbations or electric transportation. Recent work shows that such fields do affect the nervous system and may even cause heart attacks.
