The coating and laminations sectors of the technical textile industry are constantly changing advancing, although not as fast as other areas. However new information, materials and applications continued to be produced and to present new opportunities. Coating and lamination cut across virtually all of the groups into which the products of the textile industry can be classified, and thus the scope for development is extremely wide. The technologist responsible for research and development is working in an exciting area with tremendous potential and opportunities for innovation.
