AbstractIsopolymolybdate (VI) anion transfer across the water/nitrobenzene (w/n) interface was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The effect of pH and responsed kinetics of isoplymoybdate anion's formation in the water phase on the transfer behavior have been studied. At 1.0pH>5.8, transfer species are HMo8O263−and H2Mo–O244−, respectively. At 5.8>pH>3.0, the two anions can transfer across the w/n interface simultaneously. Transfer process was contrilled by difusion of isopolymolybdate anions toward the interface. The standard transfer potentials Δ nuφ0and the standard Gibbs energy Δ nuG π0, of the two isopolymolybdate anions were determined, and the transfar mechanism has
