The 4th edition of Premiere Vision International Shanghai featured textile colours and fabrics for the Autumn/ Winter 2006-07 season, with representation by 95 companies. Known as the "show for designers" Premiere Vision, or PV as it is commonly called, sets the trend for fibres yarns, fabrics, and accessories, attracting some 50,000 buyers each time the exhibition is organised in Paris. Premiere Vision International aims to maintain a club-like atmosphere and air of exclusivity, differentiating the event from others with the emphasis on European quality textiles. Today there are exhibitors from outside the European industry at PV but the organisers still insist on one condition, that the exhibitors be from countries which open their markets to European fabrics.
