abstract_textpTwo Doberman pups were presented for retarded growth and bilateral blindness as soon as their eyelids had opened. The diagnosis reached was dysgenesis of the anterior segment associated with microphtalmia. The histopathological examination revealed non differentiation of the iris, ciliary bodies and the iridocorneal angle. A description is provided of the numerous structural and morphological abnormalities of the retina. It is suggested that this disorder is genetically transmitted by autosomal recessive inheritance./p/abstract_text
