The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), Southfield, Mich., has appointed Charles Porter as senior consultant of automotive applications. He will support the Automotive Applications Committee and the Auto/Steel Partnership in their programs related to body structure optimization and mass reduction in steel-intensive vehicles.
