In developing a fuzzy inference system to construct severalconfigurations for mapping programs to parallel machines, we haveaddressed some aspects that are not usually present in fuzzyknowledge based systems. On the one hand, the system should deliverseveral elements of the reference set instead of a single one, and onthe other, some of the rules used to express the knowledge need toknow about the conclusions of other rules (requiring some chainingbetween rules).
