Water use policy for the province of British Columbia is discussed from the perspective of the Provincial Pollution Control Board. In British Columbia, with minor and local exceptions, the quality of water by world standards is good. However, it seems that British Columbia will follow suit with the rest of the continent and alter its water systems to meet short term commercial needs, with little regard for possible long term implications.
