A manually-operated multi-crop, multi-row seed drill to be used for sowing jute, wheat, pulses and oilseeds has been designed, fabricated and tested in the Farm Machinery and Post Harvest Process Engineering(FMPED), Bangladesh Agricultural Reseach Institute(BARI). The seeder was extensively tested both in laboratory and field conditions. One person is required to operate the seeder with an average sowing capacity of 0.13 ha./hr.
