Four cases of off shades in dyeing polyester are discussed in this article. As mentioned in the previous article, there are four factors responsible for off shades. They are material, method, machine and men. Usually, 'men' refer to workers/supervisors but one more category needs to be added to this. It is management. The tendency to adopt a policy of 'pennywise pound foolish' attitude in management often results in some of the dyeing faults. This will be seen in one of the cases discussed here.
