摘要

To evaluate the efficiency of different herbicides alone and in combination with hoeing, field experiment was conducted during winter seasons of 2000-01 and 2001-02. Two hand hoeings at 30 and 60 DAS proved to be most effective in controlling weeds and gave seed yield at par with weed-free. Among different herbicides, pre-plant incorporation of trifluralin at 1.0 and 1.2 kg ha~(-1) and pre-emergence application or linuron at 0.75 and 1.0 kg ha~(-1) provided excellent control of weeds. Trifluralin and linuron both were very effective against Chenopodium album and Melilotus indica. Efficacy of linuron was more than trifluralin against Coronopus didymus.
