Cytogenetic studies of a stillborn infant with generalized edema are presented. Chromosome studies on leukocytes of the propositus revealed a mosaic monosomy for chromosome 18 in 11percnt; of the cells examined. Cytogenetic studies on leukocyte culture from the parents showed a normal karyotype.
