In a move to keep in line with inflation, PEO raised its licence fees for the first time in over a decade. Effective May 1, 2019, all fees listed in By-Law No. 1-including those related to P.Eng. licences, certificates of authorization, consulting engineer designations, seals and engineering intern (EIT) membership-as well as those for applications and exams rose by approximately 20 per cent. The increase is in line with inflation over the past decade and will help cover PEO's operating deficit in 2019 (see "Council approves major cuts to draft 2019 operating budget," Engineering Dimensions, January/February 2019, p. 51).
