British component manufacturer for the machine tool, jigs and fixtures and production sectors, WDS, has purchased hydraulic workholding equipment specialist Spencer Franklin.The consolidation extends WDS' portfolio by adding hydraulic intensifiers, clamping equipment, pumps and boosters. Tim Richards, safes and marketing director of WDS, said: "The combination of the two product ranges provides a synergy, which can only benefit our customers in terms of more comprehensive solutions to workholding problems."
