摘要

Recently, remarkable progress on the chemical synthesis of artificial macromolecules consist of pi-electronic systems has been achieved. In particular, those having monodispersed molecular weight and persistent molecular shape have been received much attention due to its unique characteristics, in connection with their application to molecular electronic devices. In this manuscript, the current status of the above research is briefly reviewed and the crucial role of MALDI-TOF spectrometry in this field is described.
