A new dihydroxycembranolide, sandensolide has been isolated along with (+)-sinulariolide from the ethyl acetate extract of the soft coralSinularia sandensisVerseveldt. The structure and stereochemistry of the new compound was determined by its spectral data UV, IR,1H amp;13C NMR, 2D NMR (1H-1H COSY) and Mass, chemical conversion and X-ray analysis.
