Since 1993, FP America, Troy, OH, and its 600 employees have produced chassis and suspension parts as well as pedal assemblies for automotive OEMS. Though incorporating welding, traditional stamping processes and cold forming, the company increasingly has turned to hydroforming to lessen material handling, improve operator safety, transfer manpower to more appropriate tasks, maintain consistent cycle time and improve throughput. Upbeat on the performance of one hydroforming line already in place, FP America has ordered another as the company looks to attract work from other automotive OEMs.
