摘要

Dielectric properties of flyash filledpolypropylene have been measured at differentfrequencies, and temperatures ranging from ambient to160 deg C. It has been found that the dielectricconstant of flyash filled and unfilled polypropylenedecreases with increasing frequency up to 100 kHz. Thedissipation factor of pure polypropylene decreaseswith increasing frequency. Dielectric constant offlyash filled polypropylene increases as compared topure polypropylene. With increasing temperature,dielectric constant (#epsilon#') and dissipationfactor (tan #delta#) of flyash filled and unfilledpolypropylene have been measured at all frequenciesbetween 4-100 kHz. The #beta#' peak position has beenfound to shift towards higher temperature side forflyash filled polypropylene with increase infrequency. It has also been found that incorporationof flyash in polypropylene shifts the #alpha#_c peaktowards the higher temperature side.
