AbstractResults of investigations of styrene diffusion into oriented polypropylene matrix and subsequent polymerization performed in special conditions are shown for samples drawn at various temperatures to different draw ratios. It is demonstrated that styrene sorption in oriented polypropylene is relatively low, but proposed processing leads to obtaining polypropylene–polystyrene composities with large polystyrene content
