IKME was very much a flat knitting machine show. The scène was domi-nated by the flat knitting machine exhibi-tors. The booths for familiar names such as Stoll, Shima Seiki, Protti and Univer-sal were all very impressive. However there were other knitting machines too for the related knitwear industry. There were fully fashioned straight-bar machines, circular garment length machines and seamless body-size machines also. As usual for flat knitting machine exhibi-tions, related machines and parts suppli-ers also took part in the first IKME.
