摘要

An analytical formulation characterizing the combined effects of preferential thermal and species transport in a laminar, diffusion flame is presented. The counterflow flame geometry is utilized in the limit of fast chemistry. The analysis indicates effects on flame temperature rise that cannot, in general, be represented in terms of mixture Lewis numbers alone. The changed dependence of fuel consumption rate with equivalence ratio owing to preferential mass diffusion is illustrated.
