摘要

In this article we describe a dualhyphen;pulse excimerhyphen;laserhyphen;based imaging system used in the determination of ejected material velocities resulting from the interaction of KrF laser radiation (lgr;=248 nm, pulse width FWHM=17 ns,Iape;1011W/cm2) with 20hyphen;mgr;m aluminum particles under vacuum (P=10minus;5Torr) conditions. Material velocities measured 200ndash;400 ns after arrival of the incident pulse ranged from 450 to 1200 m/s.
