The overall political relations between China and the EU as well as China and the US are excellent. These good relations are based on strong trade links. It is really a win-win situation. China produces more and more goods, which helps its economic growth and makes the West richer and richer as goods get cheaper and cheaper. Geopolitically the US, EU, China and India (to name the really important players) balances a troubled Islamic world and an uneasy and power nostalgic Russia. So they are very important for each other.
