This article is an interesting read and provides many insights about drag user treatment policies about economic aspects involved in the development of local drug user services, the relationship between the general practitioner (GPs) and the drag user, and the effectiveness of group work in complex health services such as the Italian public drag user-addiction services (SerDs) and Therapeutic Communities (TC). Little attention has been paid to the topics about needed training, program staff, and supervision groups-issues that could be considered to be among the most important aspects for the proper functioning of the staff of such services.
