Japan ranked as the No. 1 market for china's garment exports during January-May this year with the EU and the US holding second and third places respectively. The average unit cost of goods sold to Japan during the period had risen 2.41 but it made little impact on the quantity of goods going to Japan. The volume of garments shipped increased by more than 1, over the same period of 2006, to total 1.45 billion pieces.
