Brian Brunswick describes the future of the RAF as being "depressing" if the trend towards pilot-less aircraft continues. (FlyPost December.) I must confess that I find his reasoning a little odd. I would agree that tales of skill, bravery, heroism and derring-do from nearly a century of aerial warfare make gripping reading, and watching skilled pilots manoeuvring aircraft, old and new, at airshows is undeniably entertaining and exciting.Like many of your readers, I have had a life-long interest in aircraft, the men that flew them, the history of aviation and aerial warfare.
