It is common knowledge that people learn in different ways and at different rates. Business system science theorists (von Bertalanffy, Laszlo, 1991; Stacey, 1996; Wheatley and Kellner-Rogers, 1996; Prigogine Stengers, 1984), adult learning experts, (Knowles, 1984; Freire, 1973; Cross, 1981) creativity experts (Levesque, 2001), and organizational learning experts (Argyrius, 1986; Senge, 1990/1994) agree on this bit of common sense. Another bit of common knowledge is that our only real sustainable competitive advantage today and in the future is knowledge and our fast, wise use of it (Cleveland, 1997; Drucker, 1993; Surowiecki on Porter, 1999; Zohar, 1997, Senge, 1999, Peters, 1999).
