Finn-Power International, Inc., Schaumburg, IL, has introduced a robotic press brake designed to provide unmanned bending at maximum speed, with rapid setups and changeover times.Models are available for 55 to 176 tons and working lengths of 8 to 13 ft. by combining the press brake with a robot, a fabricator can form large or small parts with a variety of profiles. Accurate positioning for bending is achieved using sensors for both backgauge fingers. The robot is independent of the press brake and has load capacity of 143 lb. an additional seventh servo axis increases versatility for bending and material-handling operations.
