A simple technique by which small (0.066 cm or less) diameter holes may be drilled in fragile molecular crystals is described. Crystals of Rochelle salt, triglycine sulphate, Nhyphen;acetylglycine, and Lhyphen;alanine have been successfully drilled in this way.
