Now in its third year, MetalMecanica USA 2001, scheduled for September 12-14, promises to showcase the latest and greatest metalforming equipment available to the burgeoning manufacturing community in Mexico and Latin America. Destined to attract more than 3500 metalforming executives, managers and workers, this important annual tradeshow features more than 120 exhibitors. Joining for the first time as sponsors, along with PMA, the American Consulate and two leading Mexican Industrial Chambers, is the American Welding Society.Also new this year is a partnership with Centro de Sistemas Integrados de Manufactura (CSIM), a research center of Tec de Monterrey, which invites attendees to attend the First International Symposium on Metalworking - SICMET'01. The symposium will include presentations on drawing, rolling, sheetmetal forming welding, pipe forming, hydroforming, computer simulation and other topics. This expanded tradeshow and symposium are testament to the growing importance of the Latin American market to the metalforming community.
