As if corporate finance departments didn't have enough to handle with the deluge of calls from irate investors about rock-bottom share prices, they also have a slew of new regulations to follow. Chief among them is the Securities and Exchange Commission's Staff Accounting Bulletin 101, a new rule that offers stricter guidelines on how to recognize product revenue (see box).
