Conference on the theme of railway, gathering railway museums around the world, was held at the Railway Museum in Saitama city on November 7 2013. That idea is to advance amenity and promote the future development of railway through boosting mutual understanding and information sharing between them. About 20 representatives of 10 railway museums from seven countries, Japan, South Korea and Westerns, attended it. The host is East Japan Railway Culture Foundation managing the museum in Saitama. Besides the Railway Museum, museums attended are domestic 3 institutions, Modern Transportation Museum (Osaka city), Kyushu Railroad Memorial Hall (Kitakyushu city), and SCMAGLEV and Railway Park (Nagoya city). Also overseas 6 institutions, French National Railway Museum, German Railway Museum, Korea Railroad Museum, Swiss Transport Museum, the UK National Railway Museum, and the United States Baltimore and Ohio railroad Museum, joined.
