Colloidal silica particles findinnumerable applications in defence and civil, suchas binder for refractories, antislip agent,antisoilant, antiblocking agent, reinforcement ofadhesives and molecular sieves. The present studiesreport utilization of mono-dispersed spherical silicaparticles for a laser project on defence applications.The material has been developed using the sol-geltechnique. Rule of various solvent characteristicssuch as dielectric constant, dipole moment andviscosity on the process are discussed.
