Both the AP series and the PBMR embody the technologies necessary to meet the needs of nuclear utility customers in the short term and out into the future. If the political, policy and regulatory frameworks can be rectified to make investment in nuclear power viable, where this is not already the case, then the industry may be able to play its key role in achieving the elusive 'win-win' outcome to the energy policy challenge.
